Tutorials
This site is here to
give back to the creative community by
hosting editing tutorials for games that
folks would like to have up here. This is
a relaunch of the site, and am fixing as I
go. We are on version 6 of the site since
I took over in 2005. This site has seen
a few different versions with one of the
last ones attacked and destroyed by
hackers. We lost tutorials for FEAR, Americas
Army, Contracts Jack, Nolf, and about
10-15 written by myself, WillyP, and
others for Descent 3. |

D3Edit
Basics
This
was where some of the tutorials were listed on the
OG site. As I recode and make materials available
via html, most new additions will be on the Wiki
page located at here
GameEdit
Wiki. Please see the forums for restored Descent
related content. All links not restored and links
that I may discontinue will point to the forums for
now. |

I kept much of the retro loud style for the site,
however kept it going in a new louder direction.
Change log: major graphics overhaul, added SSL cert
for HTTPS, optimized HTML code for mainpage + PHP
includes + Wiki mark up language to account for
secure browsing removing references to "http".
Next steps. Continued development of my Overload
level, rough out some Overload tutorial content.
study the addition of HTML in the wiki includes,
consider writing an HTML to to wiki mark up
converter instead. Engage the community more to let
the know we are alive.

Bringing retro site back to life in honor of
Schplurg, Starkiller, PapaCat, Hydra, Sirian, Argos,
DwnUndr, Stormcrow, Krags, David Julian, and other old timer site
operators and contributors.
I will get a better list
in its own spot in the future. Oh and F*ck hackers
that destroy sites. Still so much work to be
done, but we are alive |

- Temp fixed all links on main
page to land either in forum or one of the few
HTML pages restored.
- Evaluating
usability of wiki software on a hidden portion
of the site for tutorials. Skinning it now to
match retro styles more closely
- Putting
the word out to a few places that we are alive.
Although site still not ready for primetime I
would like to begin accepting at least forum
tutorials or advice regarding the Overload
Editor
- Estimated
that we have about ~100 HTML files to edit
